Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund has a lot of feathers in its cap…

Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund grassroots activists from across the country are responsible for numerous advances, especially when it comes to turning the tide of leadership at the local, state and federal levels.

Writer and conservative political activist Phil Kerpen in a recent column weighs in on the impact Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund has made in recent months. Here are some of the highlights.

Conservative Review has the story:

By 2012, systematic ideological targeting by the IRS had weakened the tea-party movement and stunted its growth; in recent days, it has become fashionable to proclaim the tea party dead, reduced to nothing but scam PACs and charlatans.  No doubt scammers are a real problem, but we need to be careful not to paint with too broad a brush, smearing many good-hearted and passionate activists.

One group in particular stands out. They have been in the trenches on all the key policy fights, retain an impressive grassroots following, and use a remarkable consensus-building process involving hundreds of local organizers to make their decisions…

On the political side, during the GOP presidential nominating process, their super PAC engaged in a month-long, multiple ballot endorsement process that resulted in more than 100,000 votes being cast by grassroots activists all over the country. The result? Senator Ted Cruz won the endorsement of Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund. They organized phone banks, neighborhood walks and sign wavings to demonstrate their support for Sen. Cruz and vouch for him with other potential voters. In fact, they did so much work for Cruz following the formal endorsement that he penned a “thank you” letter to all of their activists and supporters.
